I would like to invite you to a very special event I'm hosting for a cause that is very close to my heart - Peace in our communities and our world.
On December 5th, I'm holding a House Party at the Red Victorian with the theme of "Peace: Making it Real!" which is in support of The Peace Alliance and the Student Peace Alliance.
A great need exists in our country and the world for a comprehensive and coordinated approach to preventing and resolving conflict and violence. Daily we see the horrific conditions that exist all over our communities, our nation and the world.
But there are solutions. Many on-the-ground programs that exist are practical, pragmatic and proven to be highly effective at reducing conflict and violence. Yet, far too often, we give the programs much smaller resources than they need to do their great work. This field of work, called peacebuilding, offers a real prescription for peace on the planet.
Please come and bring your thoughts and questions to share at this party. A vision for peace can be very hard to hold during these cynical times, but for the sake of our future generations, we must do everything we can to make it possible. Solutions DO exist!
Please join me at our Red Vic House Party to learn more about this work for peace. This work is truly groundbreaking, and the potential for what we can accomplish is huge.
