A Beacon of Hope on the National Mall

Dear Friends,

I recently visited the United States Institute of Peace’s beautiful new home on our National Mall, and wanted to share with you how much the visit moved me. The new structure and new address do  justice to the importance of the Institute’s mission.

Save USIP - Update & Sign the Petition!

In February, the U.S. House voted to cut all funding for the United States Institute of Peace, which would essentially eliminate one of our government’s primary platforms for international peacebuilding.

So far already 8,000 people have signed the USIP petition.  Please visit here - http://bit.ly/SaveUSIP

Hey Aaron, thx for all the great work you're doing with the Student Peace Alliance! Saw the video of you at the Ben & Jerry's contest!

The Culture of Peace Initiative has been building a network of peacebuilding organizations around the world since 1983. We are very project/event based. The highlight of CPI has been to promote, document and coordinate the International Day of Peace (Peace Day, September 21). For starters, I think we could help promote awareness of the DOP campaign, through our social networks (facebook, twitter) and through our website. Message me for more ideas on collaborating. We invite you to join our mailing list! www.cultureofpeace.org

Glad you like it, Aaron. Be sure to start adding your own content... Photos, videos, etc. Perhaps a blog from the DC office?
