What is peace, really?

I believe that the core of the missing component of our talks, eliciting and soliciting support of the creation of the Dept. of Peace, is the articulation of, 'what is peace, really'?  At least for me, I identified this early on in my public speaking engagements, that people will never support the creation of a Dept. of Peace, until they truly recognize the areas in their own lives where they are enabling and/or contributing to, violence; especially passive violence.Office gossip.
