What's Lacking

So here I am. A team leader. Whenever I talk to a new group of volunteers I always say, "Make no mistake. This is a political action" I've got the politics down. Lobbying is after all a political action. I have found that there is something lacking in my approach to this. It is the very essence of The Peace Alliance. Compassion, pure and simple. How can I better serve my fellow human beings. There's a man I Taos who has started a Food Instead of Bombs, movement. Many of our brothers and sisters…See More

Hey, Chris,
I have not been on DoPeace for awhile and missed your request to contact you. Miranda Fisher will be representing CO on the next 2 Regional Conference calls while I am traveling. I am psyched about supporting your team and coming to Santa Fe to participate in what I am sure will be an awesome conference. Barb

Thanks for the welcome. Have spoken to Jodee some time ago, and have been traveling and out of NM about 1/2 the time. I have worked with Lynn McMullen and Anna Campos. When I wrote that I was an active volunteer, I was meaning I have been volunteered for peace a lot. It is also the work I do as a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Trainer with the Center for NVC as well as a mediator, facilitator, and consultant.
