- What first attracted you to peace activism?
- Before he came to the US & met my Grandmother, my step grandfather was the personal valet to the American Ambassador to Poland at the time Hitler invaded the country. He was supposed to leave with the Ambassador, but went back for his family & was captured, & sent to his death. With help from the underground, he was able to escape.
