Kaydor Aukatsang is the President of the Tibetan Association of Northern California (TANC) and an independent consultant and a community organizer based in San Francisco.  He spearheaded the successful completion of the organization’s campaign to purchase a community center and has raised close to $2 million for TANC’s capital campaign and other programs. 

 

Specializing in program development, project management and nonprofit fundraising, Kaydor has worked as Development Director for three well-known nonprofits: The American Himalayan Foundation (San Francisco), The Natural Capital Institute (Sausalito), and Instituto Terra (Brazil).  He also worked with the Tides Foundation (San Francisco) as a Philanthropic Advisor and as a Program Associate at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (New York City) on the Fund’s grantmaking programs in Central Europe, and South Africa. He was with the International Campaign for Tibet (Washington, D.C.) for three years starting 1993.  Kaydor has a BA from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, India; and an MA degree in International Business and Politics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Boston.
