A California Department of Peace?
My local state assemblyperson sponsors a contest called "It Ought to be a Law" --- here's the link to the application. Would totally love some help/input on submitting the Dept. of Peace bill for this contest by Nov. 20. In particular, these two questions:
ARE YOU AWARE OF ANY CURRENT OR PRIOR LEGISLATION IN
CALIFORNIA THAT ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE? If so, please mention the bill
number, the author of the bill, and whether or not the legislation became law.
PLEASE DESCRIBE THE FINANCIAL IMPACTS OF YOUR PROPOSAL
(How much would it cost, are there any new taxes or new fees, or how much it
would save taxpayers?)
