I am very grateful for this opportunity to connect and share best practices, learn new concepts and processes as well as meet fellow peacemakers.
I teach an original Mindfulness Program to 1st, 2nd and 4th graders at two elementary schools in Dallas and slowly expanding. Funding is always an issue but I move forward even on a monk's budget because I have seen the difference it is making in the kid's lives as well as the teachers.
I really appreciated the first session with Kay and Carolyn sharing the Core Assumptions and the four key areas of focus for building healthy relationships.
I am interested in not only "peace tools for schools," a mantra I use in my Ministry for Sacred Living, but also how to get these tools to Universities. Not just for students who are on the teaching path but to create a generation of Socially and Emotionally Intelligent young adults.
Very excited. Thanks for having this.
Have a beautiful day.

Rev. Valles,
I want to let you know that The Peace Alliance has what is called the Student Peace Alliance under our "umbrella", if you will. This site aims at encouraging students to take a more active role in peacebuilding practices and advocacy.
I want to let you know that we are currently revising an exciting package of peacebuilding tools for both the k-12 and university levels. This package will continue to encourage students to be involved in advocacy and to promote campus involvement, but we are strengthening our tool kit for teaching peace and restorative justice practices in schools. Remember this will be at the k-12 and university level.
We are going to be beta testing this resource within the next month and we would love your input on this new package of tools. Please stay tuned as we will be announcing the release and beta test through the Teaching Peace in Schools course.
Thank you so much for what you are doing and thank you for your commitment to teaching peace.
