Levin hosts ‘Imagine Peace’ workshop
Thursday, April 1, 2010

Township resident and psychotherapist E. Betty Levin conducted a workshop, "Imagine Peace," in her Sagamore Road home on March 14.

The workshop was based on the Department of Peace Cabinet Level Bill (HR 808) presently in Congress. The topics of the workshop included "what's in the bill," "do I approve of it," and "if I do, what can I do to help get it passed?" Consult the Web site, www.ThePeaceAlliance, for more details.

Levin conducts these workshops pro bono and offers them to other community members interested in hosting similar gatherings. To schedule a gathering, and for further information, call Levin at 973-763-1033.

Additional facilitators at the March 14 workshop included Tricia Idrobo, former New Jersey State Coordinator of the Department of Peace Campaign and Martha Gallahue, a clergy leader with the American Ethical Union (Ethical Culture) who works as main representative at the United Nations with their affiliate organization, The National Service Conference of the American Ethical Union.
