We met with Annie Baker @ Mr. Bartlett's office back in March during the DOP conference. She was very pleasant. Also, Mr. Barlett has a major prison in his district. He should be interested in keeping youth out of it.

Nice going, David! I also called Sen. Mikulski's office about YPA a few weeks ago. I'll follow up.

I called and got the name of Rep. Bartlett's staffer who handles this kind of bill. Her name is Annie Baker. I left her a voice message and emailed her at [email protected] about hr 1094 Youth Promise Act.

I have contacted Rep Kratovil's office as well as Rep. Steny Hoyer's office, even though I am not in their districts, I am a Marylander. They both took my request for their support for HR 1064.

David Quan:

Rep. Hoyer hasn't signed up for the Youth Promise Act. You can contact his office and educate him about the bill HR 1064. See if you can get him on board by next Wednesday, when this bill goes to committee. There are 221 co-sponsors now and I would like to see all 8 of MD co-sponsor. We have 5 now. We also need Rep. Bartlett and Rep. Kratovil. I have contacted Sen Mikulski to get her stance on this. be Peace, David

Just found out that I am in Hoyer's district. A little late, I know. I wonder how I could approach him that would yield fruitful information? What sort of legislation has he signed onto that has had content that the Peace Alliance would support?
