Dear Dawn,

Three bits of information that might add to your work. 1. Wars start in cycles. 2. The start of wars are related to Sunspot cycles, either as they ascend or descend. 3. Mass meditation/visualizations definitely reduce solar activity. Please go to my website www.buryl.com, under Academy for Peace Research for more information. Carry on your great work, please just add another action for people to do. There are clear measurable results.

Yours in service of the divine,
Buryl Payne

Hi Dawn,

My name is Kevin Szawala ('Mr. Peace'). I am the State Coordinator for Michigan for the US Dept. of Peace campaign. Colleen Mills mentioned that you are a student at Michigan State University and want to get involved in the movement. We can set up an initial phone or in person meeting to discuss some of the ways you can help. Let me know what works best.

Peace In,

Kevin ('Mr. Peace')

I am tired of talking about promoting peace, I want to do something about it! I see there is no coordinator for this group, what have you all been involved in and where?

The ONE PEACE Concert & ONE PEACE Event celebrating the UN Day of Peace was a joyous experience. Twelve artists shared their creativity at the concert. Dr. Sharif Abdullah was the keynote speaker at the ONE PEACE event. We all stood & read The Mender's Pledge, from his book "Creating a World That Works for All". You might want to take the pledge too. Here it is:
THE MENDER PLEDGE

I believe in inclusivity. I believe that our lives are inextricably linked one to another. We cannot wage war against anyone without waging war against ourselves. Therefore, I will practice inclusivity with myself, my family, my community, the natural world, and all others. I will actively work toward the goal of an inclusive society, a world that works for all.

I know that
we are One. Therefore, I will give to you what I want for me. I know there is enough for all.

I want
everyone to win. Therefore, I will work to resolve all conflicts to every party’s satisfaction.

I want acceptance. Therefore, I will accept myself for who and what I am, I will accept you for who and what you are, and I will accept all others for who and what they are. Even if I resist your behavior, I will accept you as a Child of God, a part of the Divine.

I want no harm. Therefore, I will not harm myself or you or any others, by thought, word, or deed.

I want forgiveness. Therefore, I will forgive myself, I will forgive you, and I will forgive all others.

I want to be free. Therefore, I will not let others dominate, control, or manipulate me. And I will not dominate, control, or manipulate you or others.

I want peace. Therefore, I will be peaceful with myself, with you, and with others.

I want love. Therefore, I will love myself, I will love you, and I will love all others.

Congratulations & thank you to the peace activists from the 2nd District who organized the Peace Picnic in Whitehall on August 16th. Gloria Switzer, one of the organizers, was my partner at the D.C. Conference when we did the Challenge Day exercise. It was a very deep experience. She wrote the front page article of the Pax Christ newsletter describing the conference. Besides Pax Christi, there were representatives from Code Pink, Newago Citizens for Peace, Iraqi Veterans Against the War, Women in Black, Open, and many other groups. We all came together to celebrate everyone working for peace in a variety of ways. When Bob Scrauger introduced the Department of Peace folks, he asked if everyone knew about & supported the effort, and over 100 people cheered & enthusiastically welcomed our state coordinator, Linda, to speak. It was so encouraging! We are all volunteers who put our heart, soul & efforts into creating the world we know will be a more inclusive and peaceful one. A celebration such as this picnic demonstrates that people with diverse methods and ideas can come together with appreciation of all.
Thank you so much for the experience!

NINGing is great. It is long past my bed time, but I'm busy listening, viewing, reading and writing at DoPeace. Now the DoP district teams need to figure out how to use DoPeace's offerings to energize their less active members.

Gratitude to Jim Ramelis, MI-1 CDTL for his work in getting the Veteran's for Peace to pass a resolution in support of the Youth PROMISE Act (HR 1064 and S 435). Thank you Jim for all your due diligence!
