- What first attracted you to peace activism?
- The First Gulf War was the first time in my adult life that the United States was overtly sending troops into war. I was unconvinced of the need for it so joined up with the MidSouth Peace and Justice Center in Memphis to protest it. Then during the Decade of Nonviolence, I began studying and practicing Nonviolent Communication.
