- What first attracted you to peace activism?
- Listening to the prayer of a USArmy Medic stationed in AFGHANISTAN & then, 'whisper' of My heart, the perfect PEACE Project for this "Little Ol' Lady" was realized. "WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES...on the Path to PEACE!!!" The 'simplicity' of this SHOEString Global Outreach Campaign deLIGHTs the heart & offers a new genre' as a SHOE DIVA.
Since my disability precludes My wearing SHOES that I love...Today, WAMMS collects 'gently-worn' SHOES which are then shipped (currently to IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN) & shared (locally in The Valley of the Sun).
WAMMS is currently CELEBRATING its FIRST BIRTHDAY.
It is our DREAM for the future to take WAMMS Across AMERICA. Hope to see You then!!!
