Hi, I proposed a U.S. Dept. of Peace, how 'bout that.  So have 348 others as of now.  How about the rest of you getting your say in?-- 1000 votes would give us the lead and be pretty good consciousness raising for the proposal. I can set up a Dept. of Peace page on my church website and link to the Michigan UU social justice website-- would anyone want to help me make that page up?  The help would be appreciated.See More

Hi,I'm working in my church, Peoples Church, UU in Ludington, Michigan, towards a resolution endorsing the campaign for a U.S. Dept. of Peace at the cabinet level.Because of questions from the membership I need to come up with the history of such advocacy within the Unitarian-Universalist Association and at General Assembly. I am so glad that we recieved this invitation! Because we love the DoP and we love Linda too. Also the more great resources to tip people too regarding supporting the DoP, the better.And, maybe you Linda, and all you readers too, can help me. I'm looking for reputable economists to read regarding how we can have sustainable growth, a sustainable economy, or an economy not dependant on growth so as to be sustainable, that is also socially just.
