What first attracted you to peace activism?
I advocate for peace because being at peace more of the time became a priority for me when I was in my "emergency phase" of recovering from childhood violence. Through setting that goal, I came to learn so much more is possible and beautiful in life than I ever knew. Once you know peace, advocating for it, in whatever way is right in each moment, seems like a no-brainer. Reading the DOP legislation in 2005 caused me to step into advocacy beyond personal relationships.
