What first attracted you to peace activism?
My 7 year old daughter and I survived a violent home invasion kidnapping, 14 hours held hostage, bank robbery scheme, This event brought me face to face with my own violent childhood, a childhood I needed to heal. Moving through and beyond violence and abuse meant looking at my life, and all that had happened in a new light. I found myself drawn towards peace activism and founded Rock to Stop Violence and began to speak out about post trauma awareness. My book, Hled Hostage, became a Lifetime Movie and today my purpose, heart, and soul, know this is exactly what I am meant to do.

Dear Michelle, my partner and I watched the movie Held Hostage and it was so terrifying and disturbing, and almost unbelievable, that we have always remembered the movie and since then "prayed" that this would not happen ever again. We really could not imagine that there would be people whom would do such a thing as happened to you and your daughter. I honor your healing and your actions toward peace activism and send unlimited love and peace and joy to your daughter and you. Hugzz, from Star Wise / Celine
