What first attracted you to peace activism?: I loved the concept of the Department of Peace the first time I heard about it at an Earth Day event seven years ago.
I decided to dedicate my retirement to creating a culture of peace.

Midwest Regional Department of Peace Conference A Huge Success!!

Livonia was the destination of choice as Peace emissaries from five Midwestern states and throughout Michigan attended the Midwest Regional

Department of Peace Conference hosted by The Citizens for Peace. The May 14 –

16 weekend event, held at Madonna University, attracted more than 100 advocates

of Peace and non-violence from all walks of life.

ONE PEACE Celebrates the UN Day of Peace in Michigan

The ONE PEACE Concert & ONE PEACE Event celebrating the UN Day of Peace was a joyous experience. Twelve artists shared their creativity at the concert. Dr. Sharif Abdullah was the keynote speaker at the ONE PEACE event. We all stood & read The Mender's Pledge, from his book "Creating a World That Works for All".
