Dept of Peace...a need long overdue

In these times when people should be more evolved and enlightened, it is more than time for the Department of Peace to be reentered into the consciousness of humanity. I worked for this endeavor several years ago when Dennis Kucinich introduced it. It seemed like a common sense idea. We have departments for everything else, war, defense, security, etc. Why not for PEACE? Peace seems like something out of our reach. A Beacon of Hope on the National Mall

I recently visited the United States Institute of Peace’s beautiful new home on our National Mall, and wanted to share with you how much the visit moved me. The new structure and new address do  justice to the importance of the Institute’s mission.

The United States Peace Index was launched in Washington D.C. today!
