First Aid Model for Peacebuiling in Communities

I really like the sound of this. Here in earthquake country, we have several models for response teams trained to help in home neighborhoods in the event of a major disaster, since we have all seen from recent events that the usual response agencies can be totally overwhelmed. Schools have often trainedstudent peer counselors to help calm situations and individuals. We are just having a meeting with other groups that train people in communication skills with the idea of jointly hosting an event during the next Season of Nonviolence that give people a taste of
what these groups offer as a way of promoting better communication in our community.
