Why Cascadia Peace Centre and Academie

The Cascadia Peace Centre and Academie (alternately the Cascadia Peace Academie) is a design for getting peace research and education going formally in a visibly functioning fashion in a major city. The Peace Alliance and DoPeace are dealing with the larger, interconnective picture, but there need to be local and regional centres (international spelling intentional) working the "front lines" and letting people know about the PA, DoP, The Shift Network, etc. The only such organization I have seen over the years is the Jeanette Rankin Peace Center in Missoula, Montana, and their work is unfortunately limited.
